The LENC members turned up in force last weekend to support the EUP Residents Briefing and Dialogue session. Preparation started as early as 8am.
Residents started streaming into the hall at about 9.30am. Our members helped out in various activities like Registration, ushering and briefing on EUP plans.
The hall was filled up very quickly with enthusiastic residents. Residents had the opportunity to look at the various upgrade plans for their estate as well as an opportunity to provide their valuable feedback. Residents were encouraged to indicate their favorite proposals by sticking a smiley face next to it.
Dr Maliki kicked start the Briefing session at 10.30am where he shared with residents the broad picture of the EUP programme and objectives while EUP Working Committee Chairman Chan Kok Kong took the stage to share on the top 10 ranking of priorities by residents indicated via a survey conducted a couple of months ago. The briefing was wrapped up with an architecture walk through and a briefing by PUB.
After the briefing, the EUP team had a interactive dialogue with the residents. Many topics were brought up and discussed.
The session was wrapped up with the LENC team giving out EUP themed umbrellas to the residents. Although the briefing and dialogue session was over, the exhibition was still open for the weekend. LENC team members were there to explain the proposals to residents who came later.
The event was a great success! The LENC members once again showed our unity and passion to serve the community. Well Done Guys!
